14th-place finish in Wieland Winternationals prelim at East Bay Raceway Park

After Mother Nature postponed Monday’s opener, Blair Nothdurft unloaded his Bargain Barn Tire Center No. 76 Late Model at East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, Fla.) on Tuesday for the final Wieland Winternationals.

Joining a stout field of 75 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries for the week-long event, Blair’s Tuesday night came to an early in his B-Main after missing a transfer spot by two cars.

On Wednesday, Nothdurft timed in seventh-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. With a $7,000 top prize up for grabs in the feature, Blair faded to finish 21st.

For a pair of features on Thursday, Blair was scored 26th in the preliminary feature after pulling off on lap 21.

During the same night for Monday’s rain-delayed A-Main, Nothdurft raced to a 14th-place finish in the 30-lap affair.

After claiming the Allstar Performance Overall Fast Time honors on Friday, Blair posted a 17th-place finish in the 50-lap feature.

The Wieland Winternationals drew to a close on Saturday with an early exit in the $15,000-to-win finale after the team discovered a mechanical issue as Blair hit staging.
