Fifth-place finish with Tri-State Series at Huron

To get an early start to his weekend, Blair Nothdurft visited Dakota State Fair Speedway (Huron, S.D.) on Thursday evening to compete with the Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series. (Jamie Borkowski)

After starting the night off with a heat race victory, Blair gained four spots in the 30-lap feature to finish third. He trailed Justin Zeitner and Cole Searing across the line.

For the Malvern Bank Series sanctioned event on Friday at Rapid Speedway (Rock Rapids, Iowa), Nothdurft’s sixth-place finish in his heat race pinned him 14th on the starting grid for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Inching forward two spots in the 25-lap affair, Blair recorded a 12th-place finish.

Returning to Dakota State Fair Speedway (Huron, S.D.) on Saturday, Blair salvaged a 14th-place finish in the feature after suffering a flat tire while running in second.
